Today, April 4th, school was canceled due to a lofty amount of snow. The streets were covered and even the graters were having trouble moving the snow to the roadside. I decided to take a tour of this town that I have become so familiar with over the years. I put on my ski clothes and grabbed my rock skis and my Swix CT3's. The streets were much more grand with the snow icing the trees and the buildings and the road. The snow banks are as tall as some of the cars now. I came across one of the plows just down the road from me, I'm not sure what was wrong with it but the driver had left it there with the keys.
I skied down by the grocery store and then on down the main street. I passed the Book Store, then the Civic Center and the Historical Museum. After a half hours worth of skiing I headed back up the hill by the Town Hall, Library and Courthouse. The snow banks were incredible and where nearly as tall as the doors on the Yoga Studio. It was cool to see all of the street signs half buried. It was good to get a little adventure in on a snow day. My other option was to sit in all day and slouch around. I definitely made the right choice there.
