When the sun don't shine
It's time to bring out the highlighters
and light up the sky.
Beginning with a dark blue
I scribble in the horizon.
And then lighter you must go,
Then goes green and orange,
Following with a red.
And when the suns at its peak
Bright yellow it shall be.
It's time to bring out the highlighters
and light up the sky.
Beginning with a dark blue
I scribble in the horizon.
And then lighter you must go,
Then goes green and orange,
Following with a red.
And when the suns at its peak
Bright yellow it shall be.
Although it's spring now, there is still snow on the ground and the weather has been rainy and cloudy. It's hard to find the motivation to get out much when the weather is poor. Sometimes you have to imagine a sunny day. Sometimes on a cloudy day you have to color the sun into the sky, make it come out of hiding. I wrote this poem a couple years ago and it comes to mind every once in a while when I feel sluggish and the weather is poor.
